It is the end of the week! Finally it could not have come any sooner. My friends and I presented a prototype of the 2D zelda clone on a mobile platform this week. We also presented the 3D version of it, but I believe that the 2D version is much better.
At this point we are half way through the end! After having a few headaches with github and some conflicts between our code we managed to complete an navigational prototype. As well, there’s an enemy AI going around however the next step will be to make sure that the player can also inflict damage!
Sprites were obtain from www.spriters-resource.com. Hearts icons were recreated by me on Adobe Illustrator.
I will leave a link below which will get you to the Windows build!
You can move link using either W,A,S and D or the arrows in your keyboard.
The weapon attack will be triggered when you press the A (melee) and B (ranged) buttons. You can also access the inventory by pressing the bag icon and close it with the X icon. This game is for mobile but I wanted to share what we have of the game so far for feedback! 🙂
Hello, just tried out the prototype.
I’m getting a problem that the AMD driver on my laptop keeps on crashing if I stay too long in the overworld. Otherwise, what I’ve seen looks to be pretty good (couple other minor bugs here & there but that’s to be expected with a prototype).
Thanks a lot for the feedback. We will take a look at that for sure 🙂
Boom shklaaaka boom boom, problem solved.
I just uploaded the latest build, fixed bugs for attack of player and reduced player speed. 🙂
